...with which my father lovingly built our home.We sorta inherited it since Dad got a new one but just couldn't bear to throw it away (we Johnsons are sentimental folk...not packrats). It died today while BJ was still working our our deck...but then seemed to be resurrected while we were cleaning up!! We're thinking we had a bum extension cord.
Here's where we are now. I guess BJ does work more quickly with his lovely assistant! he got both new staircases and part of the handrail finished. He's disappointed he didn't get as far along with this project as he planned, but I know it had to be hard work all by his lonesome. There's rain in the forecast so we'll postpone staining till the weekend.

If our church gig doesn't work out can we come live on your deck?
If we poop big piles with bubble yum in it, we'll clean it up!!!
yeah, julie, that's what wrigley and ruby said too.
Glad the old antique has helped, and the deck looks great. rj
other than the table being cut away, not being square, and the bearings going out,I gave you guys a perfectly good instrument to make a straight cut.I expect the "whine" of those bearings has rendered the "grand dogs" completely deaf. No matter... they didn't pay much attention to me anyway. The deck really does look good.Your future in the high paying fast lane of framing is unlimited...if you can find the short in the cord. T Bone.
woohoo T BONE!!
We need to have the Beej come help his dad do a few repairs around the house. I have a miter saw exactly like your inherited one. Don't think the bearings are out yet. Thanks for posting. I did see the Robin again last week, and will probably do so again soon.
